To Be Different

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I don't know about you, but as a teenage girl in this modern society, I sometimes feel like I don't fit in because I do not follow the latest trends or because I don't look like what society says I'm supposed to look like.

If you feel the same way, then i have good news for you! God doesn't want us to be like everyone else in this world. He doesn't want us to follow the latest trends or focus on our outward appearances at all! In fact, He calls us to do exactly the opposite. Our jobs as Christians is to be different than the rest of the world.

We are supposed to be an example in the way we act, speak, and present ourselves. The only way we can do that is by having a close and personal relationship with Jesus. The kind of relationship where you can go to Him whenever you need to and seek guidance. He is always there and ready to answer all of your questions through The Word and the guidance of The Holy Spirit.

I know that sometimes it can become a struggle to not be the same but something that encourages me is knowing that I am an example to all who speak to me, and even look at me. Wow! What an honor! Isn't it amazing to know that God Himself has called YOU to be an example to others and to represent His Holy Kingdom?!
